TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My goal as a teacher is to use cultural materials and theoretical perspectives to deepen my students’ understanding not only of the nature of language and cultures, but also how multilingualism and diversity can critically inform their own views of the world. I conceive of teaching as a dialogue whose methodological approaches are shaped by the topic, specific circumstances of each group, and the expected learning outcomes of each class.
